“… just get them low, I guess. Hephaestus? Oh, he's in the void. Oh, I'm kind of cooking right now. Yo. This kit is so bad. Yian, okay. That is definitely better than Hephaestus. Why would you cover the rest in stone and only have wool on the top? What kind of bed defense is this? Yeah, now you're …”

“… up we have Hephaestus. Yo, I think Hephaestus is really good actually. I'm putting it in the A tier. Yeah, it's a really good kit, especially when you get your void mech. And okay, next up we …”

“Hephaestus, all right, this one's going to be kind of controversial because I mean this kit is straight up the worst kit in the game, like when you start off the game. But if you get to the void mech, it's like it becomes insane. But because like you need like 100 emeralds just to get the void mech …”

The Wood Mech grants Hephaestus 110 shield, increasing his total HP to 140, while the Wood Chainsaw deals 25 damage with a 0.3 second cooldown. Hephaestus can buy upgraded versions of the mec...

Trivia
- Hephaestus was originally named The High Tinker when he was added into the game
- Many of the devlogs from updates still refer to Hephaestus as "Tinker"
- Hephaestus has the same name as the Greek god of artisans, blacksmiths and craftsmen.
- This makes sense as Hephaestus controls a mech.
- Another kit, Vulcan, shares the name of his Roman counterpart.
- Hephaestus’ name is pronounced "Huh-fay-stuhs".
- Despite being in his mech, Hephaestus will still have the mass of when he isn’t in a mech. This causes him to get flung around a lot, notably with Ramil’s sand tornadoes.
- Like Eldertree and Void Knight, Hephaestus cannot buy armor.
- If you look closely, you can see a swimming fish inside the mech of the Fish Tank skin.
- Hephaestus has the most kit-exclusive items, with 11 of them.
- Hephaestus' Iron Mech and all tiers above it, scale up to be 1 block taller than the Wood Mech, this however, does not apply to Fish Tank Hephaestus, as all his mechs remain to be 2 block tall.
- Hephaestus is the 3rd Battle Pass Kit to recieve a kit skin, with the 1st being Aery and the 2nd being Terra.
- On Season 10's release thumbnail Hephaestus was seen using his current render, however before Season 10's release, a render of him was leaked. It’s similar to its current render, but angled differently and sporting a more plastic looking mech. This has went unused since Season 10.
- This unused render appears as a gamepass icon.
